Emergency response - Cyclone Mora

On May 30, 2017, Cyclone Mora came to Bangladesh. The storm made landfall in the morning in Cox's Bazar and Chittagong, southeast of the country, with winds of up to 117 km/h. So 20,000 houses were damaged, at least 7 people died.

ADRA Bangladesh visited affected homes and registered people. The beneficiaries were selected regardless of race, religion, ethnic background, creed or political affiliation. ADRA Bangladesh delivered emergency food relief to 700 families, it means 3,500 people from among that were affected in Cox's Bazar, on Sunday, 4 June 2017. Each family received a package containig: 10kg of rice, 4 kg of red lentils, 1 kg of sugar, 1 kg of salt and 2 liters of soybean.
